GALALA, IRAQ:  The mountains around the village of Galala where tree sap is harvested to make traditional Kurdish chewing gum.<br />
<br />
Bnysht, a Kurdish is chewing gum made from the sap of the Daraban tree.  The sap is only harvested during July and August for 6 weeks using clay cups to catch the liquid as it is drawn for the tree's bark.<br />
