GALALA, IRAQ:  A small clay dish is attached to the side of a tree where it collects the sap which drips from the scarred bark.<br />
<br />
Bnysht, a Kurdish is chewing gum made from the sap of the Daraban tree.  The sap is only harvested during July and August for 6 weeks using clay cups to catch the liquid as it is drawn for the tree's bark.<br />
